My Story

Heidi is a doctorally prepared psychiatric nurse practitioner (NP) who has a wide range of experience in various health care settings including inpatient, outpatient, consulting, research, urgent care, and global mental health volunteering. In these roles, she has diagnosed and treated various conditions including anxiety, depression, OCD, bipolar spectrum illnesses, trauma and stressor-related disorders, psychotic disorders, and personality disorders, amongst others.

Heidi's clinical interests include anxiety, depression, women's mental health, life transitions, forensics, and medical ethics. Other current areas of employment include at the Brigham and Women's Hospital as their inaugural NP on the medical psychiatry consult team, as an assistant professor at her alma mater (UMass Medical School's Graduate Nursing School), and as an adjunct lecturer at Boston College's Connell School of Nursing.

In her spare time, Heidi enjoys making art work with items she collects from beaches, reading, traveling, baking, and walking with her dog Poppy and husband Jack. She was born in the United Kingdom and while raised as a New Englander, travels back to England frequently to visit her many extended family members.
